The Beautiful Island

A large variety of natural landscapes can be admired on Taiwan’s island. The mountains and the ocean are part of the daily life of its people. Along the west coast, there is welcoming beaches, perfect of swimming, snorkeling, surfing, and others water activities. The rockier East coast with its heavier waves from the Pacific Ocean is not very good for swimming, but it gives a pretty good challenge for the more experimented surfers.

The center region of the island, you will find high mountains and tick forests. At low altitude, you will find tropical type vegetation, but if you go high in the mountains, the plantations will transform in bamboo forest and tea plantations. The steeped cliffs of its mountains are great for sports like hiking in paragliding.
